Below you will find the first layout of the different positions which are currently occupied in our clan with regards to the operational department. The other two departments we plan to setup will be announced soon.

The names of the people responsible are written in white and as you can see our clan leader from now on will be -=XTRA=- Larsiano. I am glad he accepted this position and you can all congratulate him by leaving a message in the chatroom.

There are still some positions left, they are marked as "................" So if you feel like doing something more than gaming, just let us know.

New structure of Battlegroup -=XTRA=-

Introduction

Due to an increasing amount of member requests and also the popularity of our servers, we have decided to bring some structure into the clan. I have waited with this for as long as possible, but I realise now that we are simply growing to big to keep on going without some proper structure, rules, etc.

The first part of this reorganisation is based on the main activities of the clan and I have made a global overview of these activities.

As you can see there are currently three major activities, Online gaming, Matches and clan games and Map modding and scripting. In order to keep these activities running as smooth as possible we need you!

The first main activity

For the first one for example, online gaming, we need server admins. People who will make sure the correct maps are running, that server files get updated, and that our server rules are being followed. For the last one we need to have a set of server rules and since our servers get populated more then ever the availability of clearly stated rules is getting more and more important.

The structure of which we think will do best for our clan is the following:

The super server admin is responsible for correct functioning of the hardware, i.e. the servers. He is also the head of the three sub departments and responsible for the assignment of the main admins per server. The main admins are the ones that are allowed to kick and ban people, but also to change maps. They are responsble for keeping the servers running with the right maps and preferably we would have a 24/7 admin coverage on all our servers. Although I expect that will be hard to achieve at this time and we probably need to have sub-admins for this as well. But this can be achieved in a later stage as well.

The second main activity

We have seen that it is hard to get clan members together for a clan game when we have no one to coordinate this. Even though It is really good fun to lock down a server and play with people who enjoy playing as a team. We think that a structure like this could to the trick, to play regular clan games and matches against other clans.

The war  and clan games arranger is responsible for the organisation of groups to play matches and for organising clan games. In order to help him out, he needs at least one team leader who is the leader of for example the CTF team and prefferably one leader who organises the weekly clan games.

The third main activity

Map modding and scripting is getting more and more popular and as with the server admins structure, this one will need some dedicated people to organise efforts undertaken and to organise server availability to test the maps. The structure we will apply for this activity is the following:

The head of this group is a supervisor. He organises the groups and makes sure their efforts are coordinated, i.e. when a server is needed for testing, including some members to test it out, he will arrange it. The subgroups in this structure, are led by people who are available all the time, to assist the different modders and scripters when they have questions. This group has a lot of potential, as we have already seen, we have quite some talent in our clan and it might be that we have to rearrange this structure in the near future again, but for now we would like to keep it this way.

Concluding

As you have seen above, there is quite a challenge for us to undertake and we can not do it without YOUR help.

We will start putting up vacancies for the different positions currently available. All members who think they got what it takes to apply for a position are welcome to apply by sending an e-mail to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. For the images used at our website, I am looking for someone to assist. For example when we played BF2 the following banner was designed at a size of 500x100,

This banner is currently being used as signature for a couple of our members at different forums. In the XTRA ony forum I will put down the url of this banner, so every member can use it as a signature at any forum they join.

The idea  is to get a range of banners which members can use as, for example, forum signatures. We think this a very good looking banner and we should be aiming for equal quality. So if you think you can do same or better, let us know at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or pm the admin.
